Lorraine Marston brings a wealth of experience in sales, with a particular passion for Media sales. Since 1998, working as a Multi-Media Sales Executive has been the highlight of her career. She enjoys building relationships with clients and meeting new business owners and marketing directors to find ways to help their businesses grow. With 13 years in TV and 9 years in Radio, including on-air streaming and digital marketing, her decade as a business owner has given her important insights into the needs of local businesses in our community and Aroostook County.
I spent 15 years living in Northern California, where I went to college and built my career. During that time, I joined Phoenix Microsystems in the telecommunications sector, setting up sales offices all across the West Coast, including Hawaii and Alaska. Ultimately, I was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Sales.
I accepted the role of Maine Regional Coordinator for The World Acadian Congress in 2014. In this position, I managed the Maine office and developed a strategic plan to engage the region. I proposed an initial event schedule and led initiatives to inspire communities to organize activities and encourage residents to host family reunions. I provided support for these efforts and much more.
I have spent many years volunteering with the Madawaska Chamber of Commerce, where I served as Executive Director. I've also been involved with the Acadian Festival committee for over 30 years and continue to participate in various other committees. My commitment extends to the UMFK Foundation board and the International Snowmobile board, among others.
I completed my high school education at Madawaska High School in 1974, then went on to study at the College of Alameda in California, where I obtained an Associate's Degree in Business.
I enjoy being outside, whether it's taking walks, going for ATV rides, or sitting on the deck watching the sunrise. I enjoy making floral arrangements as a fun hobby. I treasure the time I get to spend with my husband and our two cats, visiting family downstate, and especially creating memories and hanging out with our grandkids.
