Stan & Ali Bennett

Monday - Friday 6am-10am

Meet Stan & Ali Bennett, the new team behind the Channel X Morning Show! Married for over 20 years and raising four boys Zach, Dustin, Drew, and Jake—they’ve mastered the art of chaos, comedy, and connection.

Stan is a Maine radio geek, bringing over 38 years of broadcasting expertise, endless dad jokes, and an uncanny ability to name a song within the first three notes. In 2018 Stan was inducted into the Maine Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame and received the Broadcast achievement award that year as well (We are still trying to figure out who he paid off). Ali, (the brains of the operation) spent 27 years in the medical field patching people up, decided in 2020 to help Stan build his dream: a thriving rural Maine media company. (Okay, he begged a little, but can you blame him?) Together, they purchased their first stations in Western Maine and Lewiston/Auburn including heritage Country Station WOXO and Adult Hits WIGY.

In early 2024, after Ali said no to buying more stations, Stan took a trip to the County after learning the legendary Channel X Radio may be going off air for good. What did he do? Yes, he convinced Ali to let him buy Channel X.

Whether they’re bantering about family antics, sharing Maine and Western New Brunswick news, or debating who’s responsible for burning dinner last night, Stan & Ali keep mornings lighthearted, entertaining and most of all, real. Tune in for a mix of music, laughter, and stories from two people who love Maine—more than coffee (almost).

Rene Cloukey

The Cloukey Sports Report on Channel X begins Monday September 29th on the Channel X Morning Show.

For nearly five decades, Rene Cloukey has been the voice of local sports in Aroostook County. His love for the game started early, by fifth grade, he already dreamed of becoming the Boston Red Sox radio announcer.

A 1975 graduate of Ashland High School, Cloukey went on to study at Northeast Broadcasting School in Boston before launching his career at WSJR/WLVC radio in Madawaska. He later worked at WDHP and WFST, before joining WAGM-TV in 1984 as Sports Director. For the next 41 years, Cloukey delivered unmatched coverage of local athletics, earning a reputation for providing “the best local sports coverage in the state.”

Beyond the press box and broadcast booth, Cloukey has been deeply committed to his community. For 35 years, he organized the Cloukey Challenge Golf Tournament, raising more than $150,000 for Special Olympics. His dedication earned him the prestigious Special Olympics International Heroes Award.

Throughout his career, Cloukey has received some of the highest honors in broadcasting and sports journalism. He is a six-time recipient of the Maine Sportscaster of the Year Award from the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. He was honored with the Suzanne Goucher Lifetime Achievement Award by the Maine Association of Broadcasters and was inducted into the MAB Hall of Fame in 2023. He has also received the Red Powell Award from the University of Maine at Fort Kent Hall of Fame, the Media Person of the Year Award from the Maine Association of Basketball Coaches, and two Media Awards from the Maine Athletics Administrators Association. The Maine Principals’ Association recognized him with induction into its Hall of Excellence, and his alma mater honored him as part of the inaugural Ashland High School Career Wall of Fame.

From radio to television, from the sidelines to the community, Rene Cloukey’s career stands as a testament to passion, dedication, and the power of local sports to bring people together.

Andy Soule

Monday - Friday 2pm-7pm

Andy Soule took a radio station off the air before he was even born. His dad was the night DJ, and had to shut WZON off, as there was a BIG snow storm, and nobody wanted to drive in to cover.

Andy first came to Aroostook County in 1995 and launched a new station that rocketed to #1 in Aroostook, Victoria, and Carlton counties within 18 months. From there, Andy roamed the country, helping and teaching at hundreds of radio stations across North America with a broadcasting service company that became part of Google. Later, Andy worked in Television, spent ten year in "soul-less corporate radio", and the last five years as "Engineer Andy" at Stephen King's WKIT in Bangor.

Andy is super excited to be back on the air in Aroostook County and Western New Brunswick, catching up with old friends and making some new ones. Andy lives with his 2nd German Shepherd rescue dog named Sunflower.

Lorraine Marston

Lorraine Marston brings a wealth of experience in sales, with a particular passion for Media sales. Since 1998, working as a Multi-Media Sales Executive has been the highlight of her career. She enjoys building relationships with clients and meeting new business owners and marketing directors to find ways to help their businesses grow. With 13 years in TV and 9 years in Radio, including on-air streaming and digital marketing, her decade as a business owner has given her important insights into the needs of local businesses in our community and Aroostook County.

I spent 15 years living in Northern California, where I went to college and built my career. During that time, I joined Phoenix Microsystems in the telecommunications sector, setting up sales offices all across the West Coast, including Hawaii and Alaska. Ultimately, I was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Sales.
I accepted the role of Maine Regional Coordinator for The World Acadian Congress in 2014. In this position, I managed the Maine office and developed a strategic plan to engage the region. I proposed an initial event schedule and led initiatives to inspire communities to organize activities and encourage residents to host family reunions. I provided support for these efforts and much more.

I have spent many years volunteering with the Madawaska Chamber of Commerce, where I served as Executive Director. I've also been involved with the Acadian Festival committee for over 30 years and continue to participate in various other committees. My commitment extends to the UMFK Foundation board and the International Snowmobile board, among others.
I completed my high school education at Madawaska High School in 1974, then went on to study at the College of Alameda in California, where I obtained an Associate's Degree in Business.

I enjoy being outside, whether it's taking walks, going for ATV rides, or sitting on the deck watching the sunrise. I enjoy making floral arrangements as a fun hobby. I treasure the time I get to spend with my husband and our two cats, visiting family downstate, and especially creating memories and hanging out with our grandkids.
