The Veteran’s Heating Assistance Program is making a measurable difference. With a focused mid-season push, we can significantly expand awareness and serve even more veterans before winter ends.  Here’s an update on the Program’s amazing impact numbers in Aroostook County and some program info:  

94 veterans supported. 22 towns reached. 9,300 gallons delivered. $28,600 invested.

Aroostook County, Maine - September 16^th, 2025. Channel X Radio is proud to announce the addition of a true legend in Aroostook County broadcasting: Rene Cloukey. With more than 40 years of experience covering local sports, Cloukey has been the trusted voice bringing games, highlights, and community stories to listeners across Northern Maine.

Beginning Monday, September 29th, listeners will once again hear Rene Cloukey’s unmistakable voice and deep knowledge of County athletics on The Cloukey Sports Report, exclusively on Channel X Radio.

“Rene Cloukey isn’t just a broadcaster, he’s part of the fabric of Aroostook County,” said Stan Bennett Owner of Channel X. “We are honored to welcome him to Channel X. His ability to connect with fans, athletes, and families is unmatched, and we’re excited to bring his decades of passion and insight back to the airwaves in Aroostook County.”

Cloukey, who built his career covering high school sports, championship games, and unforgettable community moments, has earned a reputation as a dedicated journalist, mentor, and supporter of young athletes. His new daily feature will deliver highlights, stories, and updates from across the County and Western New Brunswick, keeping listeners informed and connected to the teams they love.

Tune in to Channel X Radio starting Monday, September 29th, for the launch of The Cloukey Sports Report. The report will air weekday mornings during the Channel X Morning Show from 6am-10am and weekday afternoons at 4pm and 5pm.
